Dr. Baumann was raised in Omaha, NE. He completed his undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln followed by the University Of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry in Lincoln where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Upon graduation, he moved to Yankton to begin his practice.

Dr. Baumann is a member of the American Dental Association and the South Dakota Dental Association. He also serves on several boards including the University of South Dakota Dental Hygiene advisory committee, is a delegate for the South Dakota Dental Association, and is a long-time volunteer of the South Dakota Donated Dental program.

During the years Dr. Baumann has spent practicing dentistry he says he has most enjoyed getting to know his patients and their families. When he isn’t helping patients he enjoys spending time with his wife, Michelle and their two daughters Annie and Ellie. He enjoys being active and you can often find him running, working in his yard, walking his dogs around the park, or spending time at the lake.

Dr. Borowski was raised on a farm south of Battle Creek, NE. She attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney, majoring in Biology with a double minor in Music and Public Health. Dr. Borowski then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, Anschutz Medical Campus in Denver, CO. During that time, she participated in the Advanced Clinical Training and Service Program. Since graduating, she completed additional courses in Oral Surgery through the Dick Barnes group, pediatric dentistry at the University of Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine,  Facial Esthetics training through the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and CEREC training. Dr. Borowski is also a member of the American Dental Association and South Dakota Dental Association.

Today, Dr. Borowski has been serving patients and improving smiles for ten years and counting. Her favorite part of her job is the relationships she and her patients build together, while creating truly beautiful smiles in the process.

Dr. Borowski and her husband Chad have five wonderful children, Annabelle, Manny, Zeke, Ezra, and Allie. When she isn’t caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, photography, cooking, and traveling.

Rose grew up on a farm outside of Irene, SD and received her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of South Dakota. In 2008, she began working for Dr. Baumann as a hygienist and assistant.  What she enjoys most about her job is the patient relationships and that it allows her to provide oral care and education to our patients.  Also, assisting Dr. Baumann brings versatility to each day which she feels has helped her to become a very knowledgeable dental professional.  In her free time, she enjoys music and cheering on the Twins, Packers, and Huskers with her husband, Brandon, or spending time with her children Emma, Nathan, Dawson, and Reid.

Katie grew up in Elk Point, SD and attended Elk Point Jefferson High School followed by the University of South Dakota where she received her Dental Hygiene degree in 2001. Katie began working for Dr. Baumann following graduation and she and her husband, Bob, moved to Yankton in 2002. As a people person, Katie says what she most enjoys is getting to know her patients, helping them feel comfortable and at ease with their dental experience. Katie and Bob have two children, Mackenzie and Alex. In her free time you will find Katie spending quality time with her family, riding horses, and proudly watching Mackenzie show horses in 4-H or competing in gymnastics.

Hannah is originally from Brandon, SD and Norwalk, IA. Following her time in Iowa, Hannah returned to South Dakota to study at the University of South Dakota. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2019 and moved to Sioux Falls to begin her career as a hygienist. Hannah married her husband Matt in 2020 and moved to Yankton to join Baumann and Borowski Dental. One of Hannah’s favorite parts of her job is creating positive dental experiences for her patients. In her free time, you can find Hannah traveling to see family and friends, enjoying time outdoors and following Yankton Buck and Gazelle athletics.

Barb was born and raised near Volga, SD. She attended Lake Area Tech for her Assisting Degree followed by the Colorado School of Dentistry where she obtained her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certificate.  Barb holds certificates in the Dental Assistant National Board Nitrous Oxide Administration as wells as Monitoring Sedation dentistry. Barb joined our team in 2016 and manages the office as well as performing numerous assisting tasks. Barb and her husband Ryan have two children, Sydney and Logan as well as their dog, Oak. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, running and reading.
